2021 Jeep Compass Facelift spied undisguised in a new metallic green colour paint option ahead of its official launch
Jeep India is preparing to unveil the Compass Facelift next month in the country. Ahead of its official launch, it was spotted once again in South Mumbai in a new metallic green paint option. Spy shots of the same have been leaked online. The paint option as seen in the spy images looks similar to what we have seen on the Tata Harrier Camo Edition.
From the spy shot, the facelift looked very similar to the updated Jeep Compass that debut at the 2020 Guangzhou Auto Show in November. These pictures reveal the interior details. The SUV will get a dual-tone black and brown interior. The dashboard is completely redesigned. It is now draped in soft leather with stitching. The four-wheeler will feature a new floating UConnect 5 touchscreen infotainment system with revised in-car controls placed right below it. Furthermore, it will provide a new steering wheel with a Jeep logo. The images reveal the instrument cluster in an updated format. The cabin is seen boasting tan leather seat upholstery. Other feature highlights include a re-positioned engine start-stop button, new air conditioning controls, new AC vents, and an electrochromic rear-view mirror.
Apart from the new paint scheme, the Jeep Compass Facelift is seen with subtle cosmetic updates. Upfront, it gets an aggressive look in comparison to its predecessor due to a revised grille, new full LED headlamps, and a pair of new fog lights. The SUV is seen riding on a new set of dual-tone alloy wheels. Towards the rear, it is seen featuring new LED tail-lamps and a new bumper. Design bits like the unique chrome garnish on the DLO section running below the roof, shark fin antenna, and roof rails will be retained from the current-gen model.
Under the hood, the Jeep Compass Facelift will retain the current powertrain options from its predecessor. There will be a 2.0-litre multi-jet diesel unit that churns out 170 bhp power and 350 Nm torque while being mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard along with a 9-speed torque-converter automatic stick as an option. While the 1.4-litre multi air petrol engine can be availed with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The unit will dish out a maximum power of 160 bhp and a peak torque of 250 Nm.
