Kawasaki India has finally revealed its BS6-compliant Ninja 300. The motorcycle is expected to launch in March this year. However, the company has started accepting bookings for the same. The new Kawasaki motorcycle features updated graphics and an engine. The official images of the BS6 Ninja 300 have been released online by the Japanese premium motorcycle brand.
As per the images, the sporty design cues of the bike have been retained. Apart from the Lime Green paint scheme, the two-wheeler will be offered in Lime Green/Ebony and Black colour options. Furthermore, we can also see a white colour belly pan with red stickers along with Kawasaki written on it. Kawasaki had localized quite a few components on the Ninja 300 in 2018 itself. The brand locally sourced the body panels, headlamp units, cables, tyres, and brakes.
Performance-wise, the 2021 Ninja 300 will get the same 296cc parallel twin-cylinder engine in an updated form so as to meet the stringent BS6 emission norms. The engine is likely to churn out a maximum power of 39 bhp @11,000 rpm and a peak torque of 27 Nm @10,000 rpm while being paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike has also retained equipment and cycle parts from its BS4 counterpart.
Talking about the price, we can expect it to be around Rs 3.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 300 will rival the likes of KTM RC390 and TVS Apache RR310 in its segment. Besides these, the Japanese motorcycle brand is also prepping to launch W175 in the Indian market.
