The 2021 KTM RC 200 showcases a radical change in terms of styling
The 2021 KTM RC 200 facelift has been spotted at the company's factory in a completely undisguised avatar which indicates that the new bike could be launched anytime soon in the country. A few months back too, spy-shots of the 2021 KTM RC 200 had emerged from abroad. It is not yet clear whether the updated motorcycle will be launched in international markets or it will debut in India first. The 2021 RC 200 will take on the likes of Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and Yamaha R15 V3 in the Indian market with price starting upward of Rs 2 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom).
Going by the images, the 2021 KTM RC 200 showcases a radical change in terms of styling. The production-ready motorcycle clicked at an assembly line flaunts a single-piece headlamp setup which is inspired from the KTM 200 Duke. In addition, it gets a lot of new graphics while the fairing also appears to be freshly designed. The LED DRLs and LED turn signals are integrated in the fairing. The rear profile is expected to be retained from the ongoing model with the similar horizontal LED tail-lamp cluster. The company is said to work a lot on improving the ergonomics to offer more relaxed riding experience. It is also learnt that the front disc brake would be a larger unit in the new motorcycle.
Surprisingly, if noticed closely, one can spot a Husqvarna motorcycle in the background in the spy-shots. It appears as if the picture was clicked at Bajaj's production facility in Chakan. For those asking, Bajaj Auto develops both KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles of under 400cc for both Indian as well as global markets at its Chakan manufacturing unit. The 2021 KTM RC 200 is not expected to feature any major mechanical change and the existing engine will be at the helm with similar power output and torque performance. The transmission will also remain the same while the single-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) will also be available as a standard feature.
