Suzuki Motorcycle India had recently announced that the 2021 Hayabusa is likely to be launched in the Indian market this month. The exact dates have not been revealed yet. However, the Japanese company has listed the bike on its official Indian website. It can be found under the ‘Big Bikes’ section on the website. No details of the new bike have been uploaded yet. We can just see ‘Coming Soon’ written on the page.
Coming to the price, it is being speculated that the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa will fall in the range of Rs 17 lakhs - Rs 20 lakhs (ex-showroom). The now-discontinued previous-generation model that was brought into the country through the CKD route was retailed at Rs 13.75 lakhs (ex-showroom).
We can expect the latest version of the Hayabusa to come with new features and updates. Furthermore, it will come with a TFT LCD screen which is positioned between the analogue tachometer and speedometer. Other key features include a revised headlamp, dual-exhaust, rear seat cowl and rear dual tail-lamp among many others. The electronic kit of the bike comprises multiple riding modes, traction control, active speed limiter, engine brake control, power mode selector, low RPM assist, anti-lift control system along with a 6-axis IMU, cruise control, and many more.
Mechanically, the 2021 Hayabusa is powered by a 1340cc in-line 4-cylinder engine. The motor is tuned to generate 187 bhp power and 150 Nm peak torque while being mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
