The entire stock of 101 units allocated for the Indian market has been sold out in merely two days

Suzuki Motorcycles India had launched the 2021 Hayabusa a couple of days back on April 26, 2021 in the country. And within two days of its official launch, the superbike has been sold out in India. The entire stock of 101 units allocated for the Indian market has been booked and hence the company has temporarily closed the pre-orders for the Busa. The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa deliveries will commence from mid-May while it attracts a sticker price of Rs 16.40 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). Now, one can gauge the popularity of the Hayabusa in India.


The Japanese brand has stated that it will take around 2-3 months to deliver all the motorcycles of the first batch to their respective owners. It would take another 2-3 months before the second batch arrives in India and hence, the bookings for the next lot of Hayabusa motorcycles will only start by September-October 2021. Though, the current model is nearly Rs 2.75 Lakhs more expensive than the previous-gen model which was priced at Rs 13.74 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). Moreover, it is not as powerful as its predecessor yet superbike has created a euphoria in the Indian market and the buyers in no time have booked it. The new version of Hayabusa, however, is lighter by 2 kgs than the outgoing model.

The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is offered in three dual-tone color choices namely Glass Sparkle Black/ Candy Burnt Gold, Metallic Mat Sword Silver/ Candy Daring Red & Pearl Brilliant White/ Metallic Mat Stellar Blue. Mechanically, it is powered by a BS6 compliant 1340cc four-cylinder fuel injected in-line petrol engine which delivers a top power of 187bhp at 9700rpm and peak torque of 150Nm at 7000rpm. It comes with Active Speed Limiter, a first in the motorcycle industry feature, that allows the rider to set a speed limit the bike should not exceed. Some other features include Power Mode Selector, Motion Track Traction Control, Anti-lift Control, Engine Brake Control and Bi-directional Quick Shift systems.
