2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift variant details and color options have been leaked ahead of the official launch

Toyota Kirloskar Motors is prepping to launch the Fortuner facelift on January 6, 2021. Ahead of the official launch, the variant details, color options, and engine specifications of the SUV have been leaked online.


As per the leaked information, the 2021 Fortuner facelift will be offered in two trims - Standard and Legender. A total of 10 variants will be on offer. Out of the 10 variants, 9 will be for the Standard trim. While one variant will be for the Legender trim.


Talking about the color options, the SUV will be offered in a total of 9 color options - 8 monotone and 1 dual-tone. The single tone color options include Super White, Pearl White, Grey Metallic, Silver Metallic, Attitude Black, Phantom Brown, Av. Bronze and Sparkling Black. The dual-tone color option - Pearl White with Matte black is specifically reserved for the Legender trim. Inside the cabin, the three upholstery options include Black, Chamois and Maroon. The Black theme comes  with both Standard and Legender trims while Chamois and Maroon are exclusive with Standard and Legender, respectively. 


Under the bonnet, the Fortuner facelift will be offered with two engine options. A 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine that churns out 204 bhp power and 500 Nm torque. There will also be a 2.7-litre petrol unit that generates 164 bhp power and 245 Nm torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, and a 6-speed automatic. The diesel variants might get an AWD system.


As for the prices, the Fortuner facelift will be slightly premium over the current model. Currently, Toyota Fortuner falls in the price range of Rs 28.7 lakh - Rs 34.5 lakhs (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rival the likes of Ford Endeavor and MG Gloster.
