Toyota Kirloskar Motors launched the Innova Crysta back in 2016. Now it's about time that the MPV should be given a mid-cycle update. Even after 4 years of its launch, the MPV has been performing quite well in the Indian market. We can expect the 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift to be launched later this year or in early 2021. This solely depends on how fast the existing model's stock gets depleted. Recently, images of the Innova Crysta Facelift were leaked online ahead of its launch. The images reveal what all changes have been made to the exterior front of the MPV.
The MPV gets an all-new front fascia. From the images, we can clearly see that it gets a revised grille and bumper. In addition, there are new LED headlamps. Other design highlights include new alloy wheel design and rear combination lights. The rear bumper design remains unchanged. The dimension of the MPV have been retained from the regular model.
The interior features of the Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift have not been revealed yet. However, we can expect subtitles changes. The MPV might get a slightly larger and improved touchscreen infotainment unit compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and updated upholstery. Furthermore, it might also offer a 360-degree camera and powered front seats similar to the ones present in the Toyota Fortuner Facelift.
Under the bonnet, the India-spec Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift might retain its existing powertrains. Currently, the MPV draws its power from a 2.7-litre petrol motor that churns out 166 bhp power and 245 Nm torque. There is also a 2.4-litre diesel engine that generates 150 bhp power and 360 Nm torque. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox along with a 6-speed automatic transmission as an option.
As for price, the 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift is likely to be slightly premium over the outgoing model. At present, Toyota Innova Crysta petrol variants fall in the price bracket of Rs 15.66 lakhs - 21.78 lakhs (ex-showroom). While the diesel variants are priced in the range of Rs 16.44 lakhs - 23.63 lakhs (ex-showroom).
