Toyota Kirloskar Motors launched the Innova Crysta back in 2015. Now, the Japanese automaker is planning to give a mid-cycle update to the MPV. The 2021 Innova Crysta facelift will be launched in the global market ahead of the India launch. The design of the upcoming MPV had been leaked online via a 3d model a few days back. Recently, spy images have surfaced online giving us a fair idea of how the MPV will look like. The 2021 Innova Crysta interior images are also out in public domain while it is seen in white color. This is the new color option that we can expect with the upcoming Innova Crysta facelift. Furthermore, it is likely to get subtle aesthetic changes and be more technologically advanced in comparison to the outgoing model.
In terms of design, the 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta facelift gets a sharp front look in comparison to its predecessor. As from the images, we can clearly see that the MPV retains the hexagonal-shaped front grille which is a bit more refined now. The slats on the grille have been revised too. It gets chrome surrounds towards the bottom and sides. In addition, the headlights are seen with a new pair of projector lamps. Also, the front bumper gives a rugged look to the MPV.
Talking about the interiors, the upcoming Innova Crysta facelift will get the same theme and layout as the ongoing model. We can expect an improved version of seats and upholstery. As for the features, the MPV will come equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment unit compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electrically adjustable front seats, wireless charging, and a 360-degree view camera.
Under the bonnet, the Innova Crysta facelift will get the same engine options as the current model. The model on sale currently is powered by a 2.7-litre petrol mill that bells out 166 bhp power and 245 Nm torque. There is also a 2.4-litre diesel unit that churns out 150 bhp power. As for the torque output, the diesel mill generates 343 Nm with a manual gearbox and 360 Nm with an automatic gearbox. Both engines get the option of a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
As for the price, we can expect the upcoming Innova Crysta facelift to be pricier than the current model. Currently, the MPV falls in the price bracket of Rs 15.66 Lakhs to Rs 24.67 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
