Triumph Motorcycles has released the first official pictures of the 2021 Street Scrambler 900 ahead of its launch. The company has also unveiled a Street Scrambler Sandstorm Edition alongside the standard motorcycle. The 2021 Triumph Street Scrambler 900 arrives with new color choices, cosmetic updates and a Euro 5 compliant powertrain while Triumph Street Scrambler Sandstorm Edition is limited to 775 units globally. The 2021 Street Scrambler 900 would be launched in the Indian market in the next couple of months.
As for styling, the motorcycle flaunts a brushed aluminium headlight bracket alongside a new side panel with an aluminium number board. Even the throttle body finishers and heel guard have been updated. The seats are new as well and appear as if finished in Alcantara. The rubberised grip pad on the fuel tank has gone for a toss while the rest of the elements on the motorcycle are the same as before. The 2021 Street Scrambler 900 is offered in three paint schemes: Urban Grey, Jet Black and dual-tone Matt Khaki and Matt Ironstone. Coming to the Street Scrambler Sandstorm Edition, it is a tribute to Triumph's rides in the deserts of El Mirage, Mojave, Barstow and the Baja Peninsula. It gets several cosmetic updates as compared to the standard Street Scrambler 900.
Some of the notable features in both the bikes include switchable ABS, traction control and three riding modes namely Road, Rain and Off-road. The Sandstorm Edition will be offered with a personalised certificate of authenticity which also boasts of the motorcycle's VIN number. Needless to mention, it is presented in a unique Sandstorm paint scheme with Matt Storm Grey and Ironstone graphics. Mechanically, the duo will be powered by a Euro 5 compliant 900cc liquid cooled petrol engine which churns out a top power of 65bhp at 7250rpm and peak torque of 80Nm at 3250rpm. The engine is linked to a 5-speed transmission. The service interval for the 2021 Street Scrambler 900 is 16000 kms.
