2021 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is the 'Most Powerful' motorcycle in its segment

TVS Motor Company has launched the 2021 Apache RTR 160 4V at an introductory price of Rs 1.07 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. Being touted as the 'Most Powerful' motorcycle in its segment due to increased power output, torque performance and overall performance, it is offered in three colours namely Racing Red, Knight Black and Metallic Blue. The 2021 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is presented in two variants: Drum and Disc. The latter comes at a price point of Rs 1.10 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).




Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Meghashyam Dighole, Head - (Marketing) Premium Motorcycles, TVS Motor Company, said, “Backed by 38 years of racing pedigree, the new 2021 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V offers best-in-class performance with enhanced power to weight ratio and increased torque, offering our customers better-riding experiences along with advanced technologies. We are confident that these enhancements will further strengthen the success story of our TVS Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle.” Cosmetically, the 2021 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V flaunts LED headlamp with claw styled position lamps while boasting of an all-new dual tone seat with carbon fibre pattern.


The 2021 Apache RTR 160 4V has witnessed reduction in weight by 2 kgs as the disc variant weighs 147 kgs while the drum variant weighs 145 kgs. Powering the motorcycle is the 159.7 cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, oil-cooled engine which now generates maximum power of 17bhp at 9250rpm and peak torque of 14.73Nm at 7250rpm. The engine is linked to a 5-speed super-slick gearbox. TVS Apache RTR 160 4V rivals the likes of Yamaha FZS V3, Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 and Honda Hornet 2.0 in the Indian market. The bookings for the motorcycle has started from today itself and the deliveries are expected to start in the next few days. One can also take the test rides at the TVS dealerships across the country.
