BMW is all set to launch the 2022 X3 facelift on January 20 in the country. The automaker has already commenced the bookings of the vehicle. Interested customers can pre-book the new X3 either online or via visiting the local BMW dealerships. Besides these, all the customers who will pre-book the car will get a free upgrade to the 20-inch ‘M’ alloy wheels worth Rs 2 lakhs.
Cosmetically, the 2022 BMW X3 facelift will flaunt an aggressive and bold look. The SUV will get subtle design upgrades in comparison to its predecessor. Upfront, it will feature a large kidney grille, wide air inlets, and new LED headlights. In addition, the new X3 will get a new front apron, a raised underbody protection, and roof rails & window surrounds finished in aluminium. The rear end of the vehicle will get a refreshed look. The taillights have been tweaked and the exhaust pipes are more pronounced.
The cabin of the upcoming 2022 X3 facelift features a revised centre console. The feature highlight will include a 12.3-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay & Android Auto connectivity, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, latest-generation iDrive connected technology, a Harman-Kardon sourced surround sound music system, and many others.

Under the bonnet, the upcoming X3 facelift is likely to come equipped with the same set of 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines as the outgoing model. In the current state, the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol motor churns out a top power of 248 bhp and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine, on the other hand, generates 188 bhp power and 400 Nm peak torque. Transmission duty is taken care of by an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Once launched in the Indian market, the 2022 BMW X3 facelift will rival the likes of Audi Q5 facelift, Mercedes Benz GLC, Volvo XC60, and Land Rover Discovery Sport. As for the price, we can expect it to fall in the range of Rs 55 lakhs - Rs 70 lakhs (ex-showroom).
