Indian Motorcycle has launched the 2022 Indian Chief range in the country at a starting price of Rs 20.75 lakhs (ex-showroom). The range comprises Chief Dark Horse, Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse, and Indian Super Chief Limited. The pre-bookings of the motorcycles began a few weeks ago. Interested buyers can get the bookings done at a token amount of Rs 3 lakh. We can expect the deliveries of the motorcycles to begin either end of this year or the beginning of 2022.

2022 Indian Chief Range: Features & Dimensions
The 2022 Indian Chief range sits on the same steel-tube frame as its predecessor. Talking about the Bobber Dark Horse, it pays tribute to the motorcycles of the World War II era. It features bulky tyres wrapped around spoke wheels, a solo bobber seat, and a muscular front end. The Super Chief Limited, on the other hand, is offered with a windshield and saddlebags. Besides these, the Chief models come equipped with a plethora of features. These include LED lights, 15.1-litre fuel tank, dual outboard preload-adjustable rear shocks, USB charge port, 12V charge port, bobbed rear fender, dual exhaust, rear cylinder deactivation, ABS, Pirelli Night Dragon tyres, and keyless ignition. The models also feature a 4-inch touchscreen that further displays air temperature, map/navigation, clock, audio information display, and Bluetooth. In terms of dimensions, all three motorcycles from the 2022 Indian Chief range feature a short wheelbase of 1626mm and a low seat height of 662mm.

Performance-wise, all the 2021 Indian Chief motorcycles are powered by a 1890cc Thunder stroke 116 V-twin engine that churns out 162 Nm peak torque. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
