Kawasaki India has launched the MY22 Z650 at an introductory price of Rs 6.24 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) in the country. The deliveries of the superbike will start from September 2021 in the Indian market. It will be available in a single color choice namely Candy Lime Green Type 3. The 2022 Kawasaki Z650 is around Rs 6,000 more expensive than its predecessor while it lock horns with the likes of Honda CB 650R and Triumph Trident 660 in India. There are no cosmetic or mechanical changes made to the bike apart from the introduction of a new color scheme.

2022 Kawasaki Z650 Design and Features

Inspired by the Z “sugomi” styling, the 2022 Kawasaki Z650 boasts of a crouching stance, low-positioned head and upswept tail. Being positioned in the middleweight naked bike segment, it flaunts LED headlamps as standard. Some of the other notable features include 4.3-inch TFT colour instrument console, Smartphone connectivity via RIDEOLOGY THE APP and 17-inch Dunlop Sportsmax Roadsport 2 tyres. The Candy Lime Green Type 3 paint scheme is an amalgamation of green and black along with grey graphics. The company has phased out the existing Metallic Spark Black shade. Being the naked version of Ninja 650, the 2022 Kawasaki Z650 shares features and engine specifications with it.

2022 Kawasaki Z650 Engine and Performance

The bike will carry the same 649cc parallel twin engine which will churn out top power of 67 bhp and peak torque of 64 Nm while linked to a 6-speed transmission. There will be telescopic forks as front suspension and preload-adjustable monoshock as rear suspension. As for braking, the company has deployed a 300 mm dual-petal disc upfront and a single 220 mm petal disc at the rear. A dual-channel ABS is being offered as a standard safety feature.
