The 2022 Yamaha FZS-FI gets a new Deluxe variant priced at Rs 1.19 lakhs

Yamaha Motor India launched the 2022 FZS-FI at Rs 1.16 lakhs (ex-showroom) in the country. In addition, the bike gets a new Deluxe variant that is priced at Rs 1.19 lakhs (ex-showroom). These models will be available at all authorized Yamaha dealerships across the country from the second week of January.


The updated Yamaha FZS-FI features a new LED tail lamp. However, the turn indicators continue to be halogen units. Talking about the 2022 FZS-FI Deluxe variant, it gets an LED headlamp and a new LED tail-lamp. The LED turn signals can be installed by the dealers as an accessory at no additional cost. Besides these, the bike gets new graphic schemes, a dual-tone seat, and blue or gold-colored wheels. Other feature highlights include an LCD instrument cluster, Bluetooth Connectivity (Connect-X app), a side-stand cut-off function, and an engine cowl.

The 2022 FZS-FI is available in a total of two color options namely Dark Matte Blue and Matte Red paint schemes. The FZS-FI Deluxe variant, on the other hand, is offered in new Metallic Black (dual-tone seat), Solid Grey (black seat), and Metallic Deep Red (dual-tone seat) color options.

Mechanically no changes have been made. The bike continues to draw power from a 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out a total power of 12.3 bhp at 7250rpm and a peak torque of 13.3 Nm at 5500rpm. The motor is further linked to a 5-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are taken care of by a telescopic fork up front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock setup towards the rear end. In terms of the brakes, the bike gets discs on both ends coupled with a dual-channel ABS system.
