Triumph Tiger 900 Launched at Rs 13.70 Lakhs

Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the new Tiger 900 at an introductory price of Rs 13.70 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) in the country. Being introduced as a replacement to the Tiger 800, it has been presented in three trims: GT, Rally and Rally Pro. Triumph Tiger 900 is an all-new motorcycle and not even a single element has been carried forward from its predecessor. Triumph Tiger 900 will challenge the likes of the BMW F 850 GS, Ducati Multistrada 950, Honda Africa Twin and Kawasaki Versys 1000 in the middleweight adventure bike segment.

Being based on a lightweight modular frame with bolt-on rear sub-frame and pillion hanger, Triumph Tiger 900 gets Brembo Stylema monobloc brakes and a large 20 litre fuel tank. The bike is ligher by 5 kgs while it comes loaded with several premium features in the form of all-LED lighting with daytime running lights, Tyre pressure monitoring system, Heated seats, 7-inch TFT instrument cluster with four color options, My Triumph connectivity system with music operation, turn-by-turn navigation and GoPro control, Cornering ABS and optimised cornering traction control, Shift Assist and  mobile phone storage with USB charging. The centre of gravity has been revised, moving 40mm forwards and 20mm down compared with the predecessor 800.

The GT and Rally variants come with four riding modes - Rain, Road, Sport & Off-Road - while the top-of-the-line Rally Pro trim boasts of six riding modes: Rain, Road, Sport, Off-Road, Rider-configurable & Off-Road Pro. Triumph Tiger 900 GT is available in three colors – Pure White, Sapphire Black and Korosi Red - while the Tiger 900 Rally & Rally Pro variants can be availed in three colors – Pure White, Sapphire Black and Matt Khaki. The motorcycle is powered by an all-new 888cc liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder engine which belts out 93.9bhp at 8750rpm and 87Nm at 7250rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox. Triumph Tiger 900 price (variant-wise) is below:
