Kawasaki India has introduced the updated version of the Versys 650 adventure tourer motorcycle for the model year 2024. The 2024 Kawasaki Versys 650 is available at a price of INR 7.77 lakh (ex-showroom). The auto giant is offering the new motorcycle in two new color options: metallic matte dark gray and metallic flat spark black. The Metallic Flat Spark Black color scheme is based on the paint scheme of Aprilia machines. The model year 2024 Versys retains the same price as the model year 2023 variant. The company has not made any changes to the specifications of the new bike.
The 2024 Kawasaki Versys 650 now sports a black paint scheme that contrasts with the new red and green hues. A white stripe is also added to the motorcycle's headlight cowl and side panels. Featuring the same design as before, the Versys 650 comes equipped with dual LED headlights, long-travel suspension, a tall flyscreen, and road-biased tyres. The bike also gets mounts for luggage panniers. There are other features like a USB charging port, dual-channel ABS, switchable traction control, and more. The Kawasaki Rideology software enables users to connect their smartphones to the TFT instrument console on the ADV.

Powering the adventure tourer is the same 649-cc parallel-twin motor that churns out 66 bhp of power and a peak torque of 61 Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. In the new bike, suspension duties are done by USD forks at the front and a preload-manageable Showa monoshock at the rear. Two 300-mm discs up front and a 220-mm disc at the back provide excellent braking performance. The Kawasaki Versys 650 rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels that are covered with 160/60 section rear and 120/70 section front tyres.
In the middleweight bike segment, the Kawasaki Versys 650 is the most versatile model and a popular choice for customers. The new bike rivals the likes of the latest Suzuki V-Strom 800DE and Triumph Tiger Sport 660.
