Mahindra XUV 3XO Launched in India; Prices Start at INR 7.49 Lakh

Mahindra is offering the XUV 3XO in nine trim levels: MX1, MX2 Pro, MX2, MX3, AX5, MX3 Pro, AX7, AX5 L, and AX7 L.

Mahindra & Mahindra, one of India’s leading automakers, has finally launched the XUV 3XO compact SUV in the Indian market. The XUV 3XO is a facelifted version of the brand’s XUV300 and comes equipped with improved dynamics, a new design, and the latest interior features. The XUV 3XO is available at an introductory price of INR 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base MX1 trim. In the subcompact SUV segment, the car will go against competitors like the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue, among others. Bookings for the XUV 3XO will commence on May 15, and deliveries are set to begin on May 26.

The XUV 3XO features a new front-end and a revamped tail section that set it apart from the outgoing model. Mahindra is offering the XUV 3XO in a total of nine trim levels: MX1, MX2 Pro, MX2, MX3, AX5, MX3 Pro, AX7, AX5 L, and AX7 L. The top-spec XUV 3XO AX7 L manual comes at a price of INR 13.99 lakh, while the automatic version goes up to INR 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The all-new compact SUV has a new front fascia that sets it apart from the XUV300 SUV. The car gets revamped LED projector headlights and reshaped LED daytime running lights. The XUV 3XO features a new grille, C-shaped LED tail lights, and a reshaped front bumper. It has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument display. The car’s boot space has been increased to 295 litres from 257 litres.

In terms of safety features, the Mahindra XUV 3XO comes equipped with Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The car sports a range of features such as 360-degree cameras, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, six airbags, three-point seat belts and belt reminders, ISOFIX child seat mounts, traction control, hill descent control, vehicle dynamics control, and hill hold control.

Powering the XUV 3XO are three powertrain options: a 1.2-litre GDi turbo-petrol, a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. For transmission, it gets a six-speed torque converter and a six-speed manual unit. The 1.2-litre petrol engine churns out power of 109 bhp and peak torque of 200 Nm, while the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit generates 129 bhp of power and 230 Nm of torque. On the other side, the 1.5-litre diesel churns out 115 bhp of power and 300 Nm of peak torque.
