Maruti Suzuki has revealed the 2024 Swift in the United Kingdom after its official launch in Japan. The UK is the second market where the automaker has unveiled its fourth iteration of Swift. The hatchback comes with notable changes, including an updated petrol engine and ADAS. The new Swift is likely to be launched in 2024, and it will be priced slightly higher than the outgoing model. The current Suzuki Swift is priced at INR 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The hatchback will give tough competition to the likes of the Tata Punch and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
The 2024 Swift hatchback sold in the UK appears to be very similar to the Japan-spec model. It comes with traditional headlights, a newly designed front, updated LED tail lamps, and a new grille. The bumper has been updated, which gives it a charm like a Mini Cooper. While the profile of the hatchback is reminiscent of the third-gen model, it gets a new pair of alloy wheels and conventional door handles.
The dashboard design of the hatchback takes inspiration from new variants like the Grand Vitara and Fronx. The UK-spec Swift gives off a sporty vibe with its white, black, and silver-themed cabin. It comes with a flat-bottomed steering wheel and a floating touchscreen infotainment system.

It comes with other notable features like a single-zone climate control, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted audio controls, keyless entry with push button start, analog dials with a multi-info display, and a wireless phone charger.
The 2024 Suzuki Swift comes equipped with several safety features, including ADAS, electronic stability control, and ABS with EBD. Under the hood, the UK Swift is powered by a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a 12V mild-hybrid system. The transmission options are yet to be revealed, but it is likely to come with a five-speed manual and CVT, the same as the Japan model. Maruti might replace the CVT with an AMT in the Indian model to keep the prices in check.
