The new NS160 bike is INR 9,000 more expensive than the outgoing version. The LCD dashboard integrated into the bikes features Bluetooth connectivity. The instrument cluster gets a speedometer, rev counter, and odometer. The cluster displays significant information like average fuel economy, distance to empty, notification alerts, mobile notification alerts, and a gear position indicator. The motorcycles also come with the Bajaj Ride Connect application for Bluetooth connectivity, which enables users to connect their smartphones for features like incoming calls, SMS notifications, and turn-by-turn navigation.
Powering the Pulsar NS160 is a 160-cc, fuel-injected engine that generates 17 bhp of power and a peak torque of 14.6 Nm. The unit is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Meanwhile, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 draws power from a 199.5-cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out 24.13 bhp of power and a peak torque of 18.74 Nm. The unit is paired with a 6-speed gearbox that handles transmission duties.
The 2024 Pulsar NS200 and Pulsar NS160 have USD front forks and a monoshock at the back, whereas braking duties are done by a front and rear disc with ABS. The motorcycles roll on 17-inch wheels that are wrapped in road-biased tyres. The Pulsar NS160 now gives tough competition to bikes like the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Hero Xtreme 160R, whereas the NS200 rivals the likes of the Honda Hornet 2.0 and the Apache RTR 200 4V.
