The all-electric sedan gets a bigger battery set, revised styling, and a range of mechanical upgrades.

Mercedes-Benz has revealed the 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS all-electric sedan for the global market. The auto marque first revealed the Mercedes-Benz EQS back in 2021 with a pebble-shaped design language. Now, the company has unveiled the 2025 version of the car with more traditional design elements. The new model gets a bigger battery set, revised styling, and a range of mechanical upgrades.

Bookings for the new sedan will commence on April 25, and as of now, it will only be available on the international market. The German automaker has stated that even though the model comes with new upgrades, its basic costs will stay the same. The all-electric sedan is likely to be launched in the Indian market in the coming months. However, the auto giant has not confirmed the exact timeline of the launch.

The front end of the 2025 EQS has undergone the most significant modification, receiving a redesigned black panel with chrome slats, which gives it a more conventional appearance compared to the standard model. The sedan now features a Mercedes star on the front of its hood, which was missing from the previous model. The 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan retains styling cues from the outgoing version. Inside, the rear seat cushions in the 2025 EQS now have nappa leather piping and contrast stitching, while the climate control vents on the B-pillar have chrome embellishments. As a standard, the car gets MBUX Hyperscreen.

The Mercedes-Benz EQS comes equipped with the Automatic Lane Change (ALC) feature, which helps the sedan automatically pass the car in front and initiate lane changes within a speed range of 80 to 140 km/h. In addition, the 2025 EQS features a larger 118-kWh battery set. Additionally, depending on the driving conditions, the disconnect unit (DCU) in the all-wheel-drive variants of the EV turns off the front motor. As a result, the EQS 450 will now deliver a range of up to 799 km, while the EQS 450+ version will now come with a range of up to 822 km. The all-electric also has a better regenerative braking system with a faster rate of deceleration.
