MG Motor India has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adani Total Energies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL) to promote EV adoption and enhance customer accessibility across India. As per the agreement, ATEL will set up CC2 60 kW DC fast chargers at MG's upcoming dealerships, providing a strong charging facility for the brand’s EV customers across the country.
According to a media statement, the strategic partnership incorporates the installation, supply, commissioning, maintenance, and operations of charging infrastructure. In addition, a digital platform will also be launched for user authentication and to facilitate charger discovery, charging, and billing settlement through a dedicated mobile app.

The new partnership will also enhance the customer experience with RFID solutions, which will be available to the company’s users at locations inside ATEL's public charging network, including airports. RFID cards will be provided to MG Motor by ATEL via agreements for large purchases, giving MG owners access to special discounts.

Adani Total Energies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL) is a subsidiary of Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL). As of now, ATEL has a network of more than 300 charging locations, which are a mix of DC and AC, spanned across several verticals, including retail centers, office buildings, RWAs, highway pit stations, and fleet charging hubs.
The joint venture between JSW and MG Motor is now called JSW MG Motor India. The company announced its plans for India in March 2024. In the country, the brand is aiming to launch new products incorporating PHEVs and BEVs every 3-6 months, starting in September 2024.
