Jaguar Land Rover India will be launching its first all-electric SUV, I-Pace, in the country.

Jaguar Land Rover India is all set to launch its first all-electric SUV, Jaguar I-Pace on March 23, 2021. The bookings for the electric vehicle have been started. The India-spec Jaguar I-Pace will be offered in three variants namely S, SE, and HSE.

Talking about the base model, it will feature LED headlamps & tail-lights and a full-length fixed glass roof. It will further ride on 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Feature-wise, the base trim will get a dual touchscreen infotainment system with ‘Pivi Pro’, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, and ‘InControl’ connected car tech. Coming to the top-spec HSE trim, it will flaunt the adaptive ‘Matrix’ LED headlights. Here the equipment list comprises of ‘Windsor’ leather sport seats, 825W Meridian sound system and a hands-free boot release among many others. Besides these, the all-electric I-Pace will get features like an ionizing air purifier with PM2.5 filtration, four-zone climate control and a digital rear-view mirror as options.

“Electric Vehicles will not just be a new mobility solution, but owning one will also be a new ownership experience. We recognize this and have worked relentlessly with our Retailers to ensure that owning an EV is truly a hassle-free experience for our customers,” as commented by Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India.

Performance-wise, the all-electric I-Pace will draw its power from a 90 kWh battery that will send power to two electric motors. One motor is installed on each axle. The two motors combined can generate a power output of 389 bhp and a peak torque of 696 Nm. As per the WLTP cycle, the all-electric SUV will offer a claimed range of 470 kms on a single charge. If you purchase the EV then you will be provided with a complimentary 7.4kW AC wall-mounted charger. Currently, there is a lack of charging infrastructure in the country. To sort this issue, Jaguar has partnered with Tata Power to provide a charging facility at home and in the office to all the I-Pace customers. Furthermore, Tata Power has also set up an EV charging network with over 200 charging stations in the country. The setup is known as ‘EZ Charge’. It will be accessible to all the I-Pace customers across 23+ cities.

Besides these, Jaguar is offering a complimentary 5-year service package and 5 years of roadside assistance to all its customers. An 8-year or 1,60,000km battery warranty will be provided as standard.
