Mini India has started the pre-bookings for its first all-electric car, the Cooper SE, in the country. The fully electric Mini Cooper SE can be exclusively booked online at shop.mini.in by paying Rs 1 Lakh. The current Mini model range in India includes Mini 3-door Hatch, Mini John Cooper Works Hatch, Mini Convertible and the locally produced Mini Countryman. The brand has 9 dealer outlets presently in India - Delhi NCR, Pune, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Mini Cooper SE will be offered in four exterior color options namely White Silver, Midnight Black, Moonwalk Grey and British Racing Green. It will be powered by a 32.6 kWh electric battery which will return a driving range of upto 270 kilometres. The power output and torque delivery stand at 181 bhp and 270 Nm, respectively while it does a 0-100kmph sprint in merely 7.3 seconds. The official launch is expected to take place in the Q1 of 2022 with deliveries starting from April. According to Mini dealers, only 30 units will be allocated for the Indian market in the first batch. Having made its global debut in 2019, Mini Cooper SE will be introduced in a single fully loaded variant.
