Next-gen Volkswagen Polo sedan has been unveiled in Russia.

Volkswagen Russia has officially unveiled the next-generation Polo sedan. It is essentially a compact sedan based on the Skoda Rapid sold there. The new Polo sedan is most likely to be based on the PQ series platform.

Here are the top three things about this new Polo sedan.


Volkswagen Polo Engine Specification

The new Polo Sedan, available in the International market, will offer two engine option namely a 1.6-litre MPI that produces power in two times: 89 bhp and 108 bhp. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox along with an optional 6-speed automatic transmission for the 108 bhp version. In addition, there will be a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 123 bhp power, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as standard.


Volkswagen Polo Exterior Updates

The 2020 Volkswagen Polo Sedan(Vento) comes with a few cosmetic updates. The New Volkswagen Polo has a wheelbase that is 49 mm longer along with 170 mm high ground clearance. The front fascia flaunts the latest VW design language. It offers wide grille, sharp-looking headlamps along with chrome bits. The rear gets a unique and simple design that gives the model a fresh look. It shares the door, glasshouse and rooftop with the Skoda Rapid. 


Volkswagen Polo Interior Updates

There are few subtle changes in the cabin of the new Polo Sedan. It flaunts a new dashboard with a bold minimalistic design. It offers a multi-layered dashboard with free-standing infotainment screen and flat-bottom steering wheel. The higher variant is expected to get a fully-digital instrument cluster.
