The top-spec Mercedes-AMG GT will rival Porsche’s 911 GT2 RS

The car will most likely be introduced next year, and recent sightings of a test mule at the Nurburgring have confirmed that the company is indeed working on this car.

The car’s twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine will be heavily tweaked for improved performance. Currently, the most potent version is in the GT R and it makes 569hp and 700Nm, but the unit is used in the E63 with 594hp and 850Nm. The GT Black Series will be a natural rival to the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. AMG boss Tobias Moers confirmed that the company is working on a GT Black Series last year at the reveal of the GT R model. The last Black Series model was based on the SLS and was introduced in 2013.

In India, Mercedes recently launched the AMG GTR.
