Ather Commences Deliveries of 450 Apex Electric Scooter

The two-wheeler giant unveiled the 450 Apex as a limited-edition scooter, commemorating its 10 years in the Indian automotive market.

Bengaluru-based EV maker Ather Energy has started deliveries of the 450 Apex, its flagship electric scooter, in the Indian market. The 450 Apex is anticipated to be the last electric scooter to be based on the 450 platform. The two-wheeler giant unveiled the 450 Apex as a limited-edition scooter, commemorating its 10 years in the Indian electric automotive market.

In India, the electric scooter is priced at INR 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Apex has updated the new scooter, and it is now available with new colors and a few performance upgrades. The e-scooter comes in a new blue and orange color scheme. Moreover, the EV maker is also providing translucent panels. In terms of design, the 450 Apex features an apron-mounted LED headlight, a flush-fitted side stand, transparent body panels, a sleek LED tail lamp, and angular cast-type mirrors.

In terms of performance changes, the 450 Apex gets an updated high speed of 90 to 100 kmph. The acceleration time of 0-40 kmph has now dropped from 3.3 seconds to 2.9. The company says that the starting acceleration has been enhanced by 13%, whereas acceleration between 40 and 80 kmph has been enhanced by 30%.

The top speed and acceleration time have been enhanced thanks to the PMS electric motor. The unit now churns out 7 kW (9.3 bhp) and a peak torque output of 26 Nm. The EV maker has added a new Warp+ riding mode, replacing the Warp mode.

One of the biggest and most significant changes to the 450 Apex e-scooter is the latest Magic Twist feature. Ather Energy is currently planning to launch a new family scooter called the Rizta. The auto giant has also released a new teaser for the scooter.
