Audi has taken the wraps off the A6 L at the Guangzhou Auto Show, China.

The German carmaker, Audi has unveiled the all-new A6 L at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The A6 L is the only A6 sedan model that will be sold in the Chinese market, and the standard A6 sedan will not be available in China.

The styling of the car is very much similar to the standard version. The massive hexagonal grille with matrix headlights and the long chrome bar on the rear looks very upmarket. The chrome bar is present across the width of the car and it splits the taillights. On the interior, it is packed with features and materials used are of very premium quality.

The A6 L has a longer wheelbase than the standard car. The A6 L’s wheelbase is 100 mm more and the car stretches out to a length of 5.05 metres. In fact, the A6 L is longer than the standard A8 as well. Due to an increase in the wheelbase, there wouldn't be any shortage of space in the cabin especially the legroom and knee room for the rear seat passenger.

The A6 L will be launched with two engine options - a 2.0-litre in-line 4-cylinder TFSI engine or a 3.0-litre V6 TFSI engine. There will be no diesel engine on offer with the car. The 2.0L engine will be available in two tune options – a 187 BHP and 320 Nm of torque or a more powerful 221 BHP and 350 Nm of torque.

The power figures of the V6 engine is rated at 335 BHP and 500 Nm of torque. The engines will be mated to a 7-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch transmission. Moreover, the V6 engine will have a Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The manufacturer is also expected to bring a hybrid variant of A6 L later in the future.

The all-new Audi A6 L will be manufactured by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. The vehicles which will be manufactured by the venture will be sold only in China. The sales of the car will begin in early 2019.
