Audi Q2 will be underpinned by Volkswagen Group MQB platform and will rival upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA

Audi India has commenced bookings for its most affordable SUV Q2 in India ahead of expected October launch. The manufacturer had already teased the SUV on its official website indicating the launch ahead of the festive season. Indian buyers can currently pre-book the Audi Q2 for a token amount of Rs 2 lakh through the official website or an authorized dealer in the country. The icing on the cake for the consumers is the added benefits like a 5-year maintenance package, 2+3 years of extended warranty and road-assistance. The Q2 would be Audi India’s fifth offering after Q8, A8L, RS7 and RSQ8 launches earlier this year. The SUV is the manufacturer’s entry-level model and rivals the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA. It will come to Indian shores through the CBU route and expect the price of Audi Q2  to be around Rs 35 lakhs (ex-showroom), India.

The compact SUV will be positioned below Q3 in Audi’s line-up in India and will be underpinned by Volkswagen Group MQB platform. Q2 design carries the signature Audi DNA like the single-frame grille surrounded by headlamps that feature LED DRL's. The low roof and high window line design give a coupe-like feel to the SUV. Adding a muscular quotient to the SUV is black plastic cladding  that runs right across the overall profile including bumpers, running boards and wheel arches. While towards the rear, the Q2 sports square-shaped tail lamps.
