Audi has unveiled the RS6 Avant GT wagon for the international market. The RS6 Avant GT is a lightning-fast car, and it is based on Audi’s iconic 90 Quattro IMSA GTO race car. The manufacturer will only sell 660 units of the car for now, and it will be unveiled for global markets first. The light-weight GT wagon can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds, and in 11.5 seconds, it can go from 0 to 200 kmph. It comes with a top speed of 305 kmph.
The new RS6 Avant GT comes equipped with a manually adjustable coilover suspension that reduces its ride height by 10 mm. The suspension unit enhances the wagon’s handling power, setting it apart from the standard model. The GT wagon comes equipped with features like 3-way electronically adjustable dampers, stiffer stabilizer bars, and Continental Sport Contact 7 tyres.

The new edition wagon comes in iconic red, black, and white Audi livery, mainly witnessed in the company’s race cars. It has white-colored 22-inch alloy wheels. As of now, the new livery is only offered to buyers from the United States. The automaker will unveil new paint options for other markets. The front fenders and bonnet integrated into the Avant GT are made of carbon fiber. The car has a new grille, and the air intake is now colored in glossy black paint. It has a more aggressive front splitter. The standard RS6 Avant Performance is produced completely on the production line, while the new Avant GT is a hand-assembled unit.
As a standard, the special-edition wagon gets the brand’s RS Design Package Plus. The Avant GT wagon is adorned with black leather and Alcantara upholstery, followed by red quilted stitching on the seats. This indicates that red and copper stitching is extensively used to highlight the black interior in places like the floor mats, armrests, steering wheel, and center console. Audi replaced the RS6 Avant Performance's conventional front seats with carbon fiber bucket seats.
The Audi Avant GT is powered by a 4.0-litre dual-turbocharged V8 motor that churns out 621 bhp of maximum power and 850 Nm of peak torque.
As of now, the automaker will sell 85 units of the wagon in the US market and 7 in Canada. Pre-bookings for the car have already started. The auto giant has not revealed the pricing details of the new GT. However, in the United States, it is likely to cost more than the Audi RS6 Avant Performance, which is available at a starting price of $125,800 (around INR 1.04 crore).
