The RS6 Avant Performance is now on sale in India with a price-tag of Rs 1.65 crore (ex-showroom, India). The RS6 Avant is the German carmaker’s high-performance estate and it is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that makes 560hp and 700Nm.
Power goes to all four wheels via Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The RS6 Avant takes a claimed 0-100kph time of 3.9sec, and this car, the faster RS6 Avant Performance takes 0.2sec less to do the same distance.
This performance-oriented version gets larger 21-inch alloy wheels, a sports exhaust, contrasting front splitter, door mirrors, rear diffuser and Quattro badging on the front grille. All the tech, safety kit and features are shared between the two cars.
