Audi S5 Sportback is launching finally in India on March 22, 2021. The confirmation of the launch follows the recently released teaser of the S5 Sportback. It is the sportier sibling of the Audi A5. The S5 Sportback is more powerful while it gets new features, refreshed styling, and sportier-looking interiors. The sedan will rival BMW M340i xDrive, which comes with a price tag of Rs 62.90 Lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The 2021 S5 Sportback is arriving in the Indian market through the CBU route. We expect the German luxury manufacturer to price the S5 Sportback in the region of Rs 70-75 Lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The car spotted in the teaser flaunted the 'Turbo Blue' colour scheme. Apart from the above-mentioned paint scheme, Audi is expected to offer S5 Sportback with many other colour options.
Talking about the upcoming car, its design is sharper and aggressive in appearance. The sloping roof blends perfectly with the C-pillar extending to the boot line. It will ride on a set of redesigned alloy wheels. Audi is expected to offer the option of upsizing the wheel size to Indian buyers. The revamped sharper LED headlamps and the DRLs give a stylish outlook to the new Audi car.
Moving on to the inside, the Audi S5 Sportback cabin will boast of premium features like a 12.3 touchscreen multimedia screen, 10.1-inch all-digital instrument console and Bang and Olufsen stereo system. Other exciting features to look forward to are the flat-bottom steering wheel and sportier seats. Plus, the cabin will sport an all-black colour theme.
Audi’s ‘S’ range of cars are positioned above the standard ‘A’ line-up so the Indian buyers can look forward to a powerful engine. Audi S5 Sportback is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine which delivers 349bhp of maximum power output and 500Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by an eight-speed automatic unit coupled with Audi’s Quattro All-Wheel-Drive system. The S5 Sportback can go from 0 to 100kmph in an impressive 4.5 seconds. The German luxury manufacturer is expected to equip the model with a Sport differential and an adaptive damping suspension system.
