BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine will be the longest in its segment in the Indian market.

BMW India is preparing to launch the 3 Series long-wheelbase (LWB) version tomorrow in the country. It is already on sale in China. In terms of price, we can expect the 3-series Limousine to be slightly premium over the regular 3 Series. At present, the standard 3-Series model falls in the price range of Rs 42.30 - Rs49.30 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Dimension-wise, the BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine will be around 120mm longer than the regular 3-Series. As for the wheelbase, it is going to get an additional space of 110mm in comparison to the standard model. Cosmetically, the luxury sedan features a kidney grille upfront. In addition, it gets twin BMW LED headlamps with U-shaped DRLs and a sporty bumper. At the sides, it gets the same set of 17-inch V-Spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels as before. The rear door size has been increased in comparison to the standard 3 series. The rest of the silhouette remains the same.

Inside the cabin of the upcoming 3 Series Limousine, the biggest highlight is the extra legroom for rear passengers. Furthermore, the interior boasts of a dual tone colour theme. Feature highlights here include a 10.25-inch i-drive touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, and multi-zone climate control among many others.

Performance-wise, the BMW 3 Series Limousine will get a BS6 compliant 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that will generate 258 bhp power and a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel unit that will produce 190 bhp power. Both the engines will be mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. The 3 Series Limousine will be sold alongside the standard 3 Series. It will rival the likes of Jaguar XE, Mercedes Benz C-Class, and Audi A4 in its segment.
