2021 BMW 5-Series is likely to get a larger kidney grille as per company’s latest styling theme.

BMW is likely to give a mid-cycle update to its flagship 5-Series sedan sometime soon. Recently the leaked images of 2021 BMW 5-Series Facelift confirmed the same. Images seen right here suggest that the front fascia of the 2021 BMW 5-Series Facelift seems to have been taken from the current G-20 generation 3-Series Sedan.

According to the leaked images, the G30 BMW 5-Series facelift gets larger kidney grille along with sleeker headlamps. It also features a more angular bumper and lower air intakes. The lower diffuser has also been updated to give a sportier look to the premium sedan. The rear end gets a revised bumper and tweaked taillamps. As for the taillight graphics, the current G30 5-Series gets the signature L-shaped dual-level mirrored light in a hockey stick pattern.

The badge on both the front and the rear end gets a modern look and is more in line with the overall design of the latest BMW 3-Series. The model here in the images can be identified as the 530e variant of the 2021 BMW 5 Series due to the charging port which can seen in the front fender and the M badges all-around. BMW 530e will come equipped with an M Sport Package. The entry-level hybrid makes use of a four-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor. Both combined produce a power output of 252 bhp and 420 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic gearbox sends power to its rear wheels as standard while there is the xDrive variant that offers an all-wheel-drive system.

The new 2021 BMW 5 Series Facelift is expected to be unveiled globally in late May with market launch scheduled for later this year. There is no news on its Indian debut currently, for that please stay tuned to our news section.
