MG Hector Anniversary Edition Price Starts at Rs 13.63 Lakhs

MG Hector Anniversary Edition is based on the Super trim with a few additional features

MG Motor India has launched the Hector Anniversary Edition at a starting price of Rs 13.63 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) in the country. Being based on the Super grade, it comes with a few additional features while cosmetically and mechanically the same as the standard SUV. MG Hector Anniversary Edition diesel price is Rs 14.99 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). Meanwhile, the company also announced a revised pricing of Hector Plus SUV by making it more expensive by Rs 46,000. MG Hector Plus is now priced in a range of Rs 13.74-18.69 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom).

Besides having all the features of Super trim, MG Hector Anniversary Edition comes with a myriad of additional bells and whistles in the form of a wireless mobile charger, air purifier, a Medklinn in-car kit, and 26.4cm touchscreen infotainment system. However, despite the aforementioned extra features, MG has priced it at par with the standard 'Style' variant. For those asking, Style is the lower-mid trim in the Hector lineup and even the higher Smart and Sharp doesn't come equipped with wireless mobile charger and air purifier. The British automaker has joined hands with a Singaporean firm namely Medklinn which specialises in cabin sterilisation tech for the air purifier to get rid of bacteria and virus.

Mechanically, MG Hector Anniversary Edition is powered by BS6 compliant 2.0L diesel engine and 1.5L petrol engine. The former belts out 168bhp and 350Nm while the latter develops 141bhp and 250Nm. Both the engines are linked to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. The Hector Anniversary Edition can be availed with the company's recently introduced buyback scheme with benefits like zero down-payment and an EMI of Rs 22,222. The Anniversary Edition model, with its belligerent pricing, will be in direct competition with Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. MG Motor India is readying its fourth product for the Indian market in the form of Gloster SUV, which will be its flagship model in India.
