BMW i5 M60 xDrive Electric Sedan Launched in India; Priced at INR 1.19 Crore

The BMW i5 M60 xDrive electric sedan will be brought to Indian shores via the CBU route.

Luxury automobile manufacturer BMW has launched the BMW i5 M60 xDrive electric sedan in the Indian market. The high-performance sedan is available at a price of INR 1.19 crore (ex-showroom). BMW revealed this all-electric version of the new-generation BMW 5 Series globally in 2023. The m60 derivative is currently the most robust trim of the BMW 5 Series.

The new electric sedan has now joined BMW's rapidly growing EV line-up in India. In the Indian market, BMW currently sells the i4, i7, iX, and iX1 models. The BMW i5 M60 xDrive has now become the fifth EV offering from the company. It will be brought to Indian shores via the CBU route. The latest model will come in Alpine White. Customers can also select from a range of metallic colors like M Brooklyn Grey, Cape York Green, M Carbon Black, Phytonic Blue, Sophisto Grey, Oxide Grey, Black Sapphire, and Mineral White. The BMW i5 M60 xDrive electric sedan gets a standard two-year unlimited mileage warranty.

The i5 M60 comes equipped with an all-wheel drive drivetrain along with an e-motor on each axle. The car has a combined power output of 593 bhp and a peak torque of 820 Nm. The company claims that the electric sedan can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds. It has a top speed of 230 kmph. The motor is mated to an 83.9 kWh battery set, providing the car with a certified range of 516 km on one charge. According to BMW, all units of the e-sedan will get a free 11 kW wall box charger. Buyers can also select a robust 22 kW unit. The i5 M60 also supports 205 kW DC fast charging.

The BMW i5 M60 xDrive rolls on large 20-inch alloy wheels. In terms of features, the EV is packed with updated amenities like a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, four-zone climate control, a panoramic glass roof, active seat ventilation (front seats), a 14.9-inch touchscreen, adaptive suspension, a 655-watt, 17-speaker Bowers and Wilkins sound system, 360-degree cameras, adaptive LED headlights, and more. In addition, buyers can also select other functions like adaptive M suspension, parking assistant professionals, and comfort front seats.

In its segment, the BMW i5 M60 xDrive all-electric sedan rivals the likes of the Audi e-tron, Mercedes EQS positioned, and Jaguar I-Pace.
