BMW M 1000 R Launched in India at INR 33 Lakh

The NMW M 1000 R motorcycle launched today is powered by the M 1000 RR's engine. The model is also referred to as the naked sibling of M 1000 RR.

The BMW M 1000 R launched today in India is BMW Motorrad's newest street fighter model. The bike is available in the regular and Competition trim levels. Here is what it receives. 

The M 1000 R has a single pod headlight and a powerful fuel tank in terms of design. The entire aesthetic is seductive and butch. It even has substantial tank extensions that project from the front and enhance the aesthetic attractiveness. The bike has a two-piece seat and a flat, broad handlebar. The Competition model has the same appearance but is covered with the traditional colors of the Bavarian company: black, red, and blue. 

BMW M 1000 R Specs

A 999cc, inline, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with 212bhp and 113Nm of torque powers the M 1000 R. It is connected to a six-speed transmission and includes BMW's ShiftCam technology as well as a slip-and-assist clutch. Rider aids include ABS, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, engine brake control, and many others to help keep the 212 horses under control. Ride modes include Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, and Race 1 to 3. From the 6.5-inch TFT screen, all of this may be observed. 

The M 1000 R includes a monoshock and 45mm USD front forks from BMW. Preload, compression, and rebound can all be adjusted for both. The braking system consists of two 320mm front discs and one 220mm rear disc with ABS. For the regular model and the M variant, the system is connected to forged aluminum wheels. Both have 200/55 rear tires and 120/70 front tires.

The M pillion package and the M pillion cover are also included in the Competition variant, along with a M rider footrest system, M Carbon parts like front wheel cover, a rear wheel cover and chain guard, tank covers, wind deflector, airbox cover with tapes, and sprocket cover. 

BMW M 1000 R Rivals

The M 1000 R basic variation is being offered for Rs. 33 lakh, while the M 1000 R Competition is being offered for INR 38 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi). The Kawasaki Z H2, Ducati Streetfighter V4, Aprilia Tuono V4, and the new BMW model are competitors.
