BMW India has started the pre-bookings for the M340i xDrive in the country. The high-performance sedan is launching on March 10, 2021 for the first time in the Indian market. To be offered in limited numbers, BMW M340i xDrive can be exclusively booked online at BMW Online Shop at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh only. In fact, the first 40 customers will be offered a specially curated Driver Training at an iconic racetrack in India with the help of BMW Certified trainers. BMW M340i xDrive deliveries will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The German luxury automaker has provided the facility of personalization to the M340i xDrive customers from three specially curated BMW M Performance Accessories packages namely Enthusiast Pack, Racer’s Pack and Motorsport Pack. As for exterior styling, the performance-oriented sedan will flaunt several signature BMW design elements such as chrome studded grille, rear diffuser, and huge exhaust pipes. Riding on 19-inch alloy wheels, BMW M340i xDrive will come loaded with a myriad of premium features such as 3-zone automatic climate control, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8.8-inch control display, ambient lighting, iDrive system, front and rear parking sensors as standard.

Under the bonnet, BMW M340i xDrive will have a 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol engine which will deliver a top power of 387bhp and peak torque of 500Nm. The engine will be linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The power will be transmitted to all the four wheels via a xDrive All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system which is offered as standard along with M-specific chassis tuning and M Sport rear differential. BMW M340i xDrive is going to be the most powerful 3-Series variant in the Indian market upon its launch. We can expect it to be priced somewhere around Rs 65 lakhs (ex-showroom) while it will be the first high-performance M model to be locally manufactured at BMW's Chennai plant in India.
