The German carmaker has shown its fastest M3 yet. This performance sedan, called the Club Sport, is a limited run model and only 1,200 units of the enhanced M3 CS will be produced. The car will be built in BMW’s Regensburg plant in Germany.
The car is powered by the same 3.0-litre straight-six turbo-petrol engine as other M3s but is tuned to make 460hp and 600Nm, that’s about 29hp and 50Nm more. There are a lot of mechanical bits shared with the M4 CS as well.
The CS is fitted with a carbon-fibre enhanced plastic roof and bonnet, a carbon-fibre front splitter, a boot-mounted Gurney spoiler and a larger diffuser. The interiors feature the M3 Competition Pack’s sport seats and sport steering wheel and also possesses the M5 new red starter button.
You also get a navigation system, an automatic climate control system, a Harman Kardon sound system and optional Alcantara and leather accents in the cabin. BMW is claiming a 0-100kph time of 3.9 seconds, making the M3 CS the fastest accelerating M3 yet.
