BMW will increase the base price of all models in their portfolio.

The German carmaker, BMW will increase the base price of all models in their portfolio. The price hike would be up to 4 percent and this hike will be effective from the start of January 2019.

The automobile makers usually increase the prices at the beginning of every year. This hike is mainly done because of the rising input costs, exchange rate fluctuation and increasing commodity prices. In coming weeks expect other manufacturers to announce the price increase on their product

Currently, BMW India sells fourteen models and out of which there are 4 sedans, SUVs and M-Series each and 2 GT cars. The company will be bringing all-new 3-Series and X5 SUV to India. Moreover, BMW India sold close to 8000 vehicles in the first three quarters of 2018.
