Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift Launch For India Confirmed

The GLS new facelift is expected to attract a petrol transmission as currently it is only offered in diesel transmission engine.

Mercedes-Benz India has declared that the auto giant with a thunder that it is going to kickstart the next year 2024 with the launch of the long-time favorite GLS facelift. It is Mercedes’s flagship SUV and is anticipated to get a cosmetic upgrade alongside savvy new features. 

Expected Exterior Changes in Mercedes GLS

The upgrades to the design of the brand-new GLS will be metamorphic in nature. The front grill is expected to be revamped and massive along with 4 horizontal louvers comprehensively put in Silver Shadow colour. The GLS facelift’s headlamps will acquire a revamped LED pattern where the front bumper is expected to be reprofiled with an updated design for the air inlets coupled with gloss black surrounds. Other than this, the newest GLS will be fitted with new 20-inch wheels in the colour Himalayas Grey.

Interior and Feature Updates of Mercedes-Benz GLS

The facelift GLS will be provided as a 7-seater SUV. The prospective customers will be able to select from Bahia Brown and Catalana Brown interior themes. Along with it, the model is also going to get an upgraded infotainment system and will run on the newfangled version of MBUX with 3 distinct display modes - Sporty, Discreet, and Classic. Additionally, the newly added ‘off-road’ mode will employ the 360 degree camera to delineate an ultimate visual experience on the digital screen. To assist during any off-road conditions, the 7-seater GLS SUV will also be facilitated with Mercedes's signature transparent hood. 

Currently, the GLS SUV is provided with a 3 L in diesel transmission that is mated with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. It is anticipated that a similar transmission will be offered for the updated facelift model along with a petrol transmission on the expected side.
