Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, translated in English as Bavarian Motor Works, commonly referred to as BMW is expected to be launching the X1 facelift on 5th of March 2020 in India. The upcoming BMW X1 Facelift SUV will feature changes to the exterior as well as to its interiors. The price of the BMW X1 Facelift isn’t announced for now but we can expect it to be more than the outgoing model that is priced at Rs 38. 30 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). The BMW X1 Facelift will rival Audi Q3, Volvo XC40, and the Mini Countryman in the Indian market.
2020 BMW X1 exterior feature updates like a large kidney grille, revamped front and rear bumpers alongside a new alloy wheel design. Its prjector headlamps and fog lamps have been refreshed as the front-end now looks muscular with sharper lines while the side profile remains the same as before. The top end variant of BMW X1 M Sport trim will sport a more aggressive front design with bigger disc brakes and new paint options. Interior changes will be minimal and we can expect them to be limited to the quality of materials used. The top-of-the-line variant of BMW X1 Facelift will be offered to the Indian consumers with additional features like a panoramic sunroof and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system equipped with BMW’s latest-generation iDrive user interface.
Engine specification, the new BMW X1 Facelift will continue to be offered in 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and diesel with the only change being that they are now BS6 compliant. The petrol BMW X1 generates a maximum power output of 192 bhp with 280 Nm peak torque, while the diesel variant delivers 190 bhp of power and 400 Nm of torque. Both these engines will be coming with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox as standard, but the all-wheel-drive mode can be found in only diesel model.
