BMW X4 M Performance SUV Launched in India

BMW is offering a limited number of X4 M Performance SUVs in India, and they will be brought via a completely built unit (CBU) route.

BMW unveiled the X4 M Performance SUV in India on Wednesday. The German auto manufacturer commences bookings for the new X4 M40i today. BMW has launched the X4 M40i SUV at a price of INR 96.20 lakh (ex-showroom). This performance focused X4 SUV is available in global markets as well. Customers can book this new SUV via the company’s official website, or they can visit their nearest BMW dealership. BMW is offering a limited number of X4 M Performance SUVs in India, and they will be brought as a completely built unit (CBU).

The X4 M Performance SUV appears to be different from the X4 standard model. The X4 M40i SUV comes with a larger, updated kidney grille. In place of the standard twin grille, it comes with a single-piece frame. As standard, the headlights at the front of the SUV feature LED technology. The X4 M40i SUV has 20-inch M-light alloy wheels. One can easily differentiate this SUV from the standard X4 version, as the X4 M40i SUV comes with M Sport badging around the whole SUV.

On the inside, the BMW X4 M Performance SUV gets a sporty look. The dashboard of the SUV is equipped with a central digital display that has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. As an option, a 12.3-inch touchscreen display is also available in the new SUV. The seats also have a sporty look. The X4 M40i SUV has a 3-zone automatic climate control system.

BMW launched the facelift variant of the X4 SUV in India last year. This year, BMW discontinued this standard model from its official website.

The BMW X4 M Performance SUV is powered by a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that is combined with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox. The engine generates 355 hp of maximum power and 500 nm of peak torque, and it comes with a hybrid technology that gets power from a 48-volt lithium-ion battery. This new X4 M Performance SUV can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 250 kmph.
