Hyundai launched the sixth-gen Verna in August.

Just after the sedan was officially launched in India, it gathered over 7,000 bookings, and now, the number is closer to the 15,000-unit mark. Hyundai had announced that the prices of the car, at launch, were introductory and would be revised post the first 20,000 bookings. Thanks to the recent GST cess however, a hike of around Rs 29,000 is already in effect.

You can get the New Verna with either a 123hp, 1.6-litre petrol engine or a 128hp, 1.6-litre diesel mated to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Dealers say that most major cities are opting for the auto variants with the 1.6-litre diesel motor under the hood.

There are seven exterior colours to choose from of which, silver, white and black have seen the most demand.
