MINI launched its first all-electric car in the compact premium segment to celebrate its 10 years in the country

MINI launched its first all-electric 3-Door Cooper SE at Rs 47.20 lakhs (ex-showroom) in the country. The vehicle has been brought into the country as a CBU unit. The brand had commenced the booking of the hatchback in Q4 2021. Only 30 units were allotted for India in the first batch and to everyone’s amazement all available units were sold at that time. The deliveries of the first batch will start in March 2022 along with the booking for the next phase. Interested customers can book the Cooper SE via the MINI Online Shop - shop.mini.in. 


In terms of Design, the all-electric MINI Cooper SE features modern aesthetic aerodynamic lines with new eye-catching signature details. Design bits include round LED headlamps that house LED indicators & the Energetic Yellow 'S' logo, mirror caps in Energetic Yellow, 17 inch electric power spoke alloy wheels outlined in Energetic Yellow, Union Jack-themed LED tail-lamps, and many more. The 3-Door hatch is offered in 4 exciting exterior shades namely White Silver, Midnight Black, Moonwalk Grey and British Racing Green.


The cabin of the all-electric MINI Cooper boasts of sports seats with cloth/ leatherette combination upholstery in black pearl/ carbon black. One can also find a new multifunction steering wheel in Nappa Leather. The feature highlights include a new 5-inch digital multifunction instrument display in a sleek black panel design, an 8.8-Inch high-resolution full-colour touchscreen, ambient lighting, and many more. The start/stop toggle switch and gear lever gets striking accents in ‘Energetic Yellow’. While the door sills feature a unique badging. 


Besides this, the new Cooper SE offers a MINI Wired Package which includes features like wireless charging, multifunctional instrument display, navigation system, Apple CarPlay, Harman Kardon Hi-Fi Speaker System, and Bluetooth mobile preparation. The car also offers four drive modes namely Mid, Sport, Green and Green+. The safety kit comprises front passenger airbags, 3-point seat celts, crash sensor, cornering brake control, rear-view camera, brake assist, dynamic stability control, anti-lock braking system, and run-flat tyres.
