Bounce has been one of the largest high-speed EV Fleet operators in India since 2019

Bounce has been in news recently for its batteries catching fire. The CEO & Co-Founder of the company clarified the reason behind it. Talking about battery health, it is majorly impacted due to several reasons. These include quality of cells, thermal management through BMS, chargers, battery packaging, rapid charging. Any one of these elements or a combination can have an adverse impact on the health of the battery.

“Batteries play an integral role in our business and this is how we ensure batteries are safe,” as commented by Vivekananda Hallekere, CEO & Co-Founder, Bounce.

Bounce use premium grade cells, high-quality battery packers using the right infra & technology for packing the batteries & testing them. Furthermore, the company carries out stringent QCs at the time of purchasing batteries. In addition, the company avoids rapid charging which can have an adverse effect on the battery health thereby impacting thermal management. Instead, Bounce uses smart and IoT-enabled charging stations & batteries. This further ensures safe power management. The brand also provides a dashboard to its consumers, through which details regarding the health of the battery are provided. Through this method, consumers are able to keep a check on the battery’s health.
