The EV maker recently teamed up with Sun Mobility to unveil more than 30,000 electric vehicles in major Indian markets, including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Pune.

The Bengaluru-based EV startup Bounce Infinity unveiled a new variant of its famous Infinity E1 e-scooter in India. The new variant is called Bounce Infinity E1X, and it will be available to buyers across India from June 2024 onwards. The new e-scooter is available at a starting price of INR 55,000 and goes up to INR 59,000 (ex-showroom). Bounce Infinity has now become the first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to launch an electric scooter that is constructed for battery swapping.

Infinity E1X electric scooter owners can use several battery-swapping facilities across the country. The E1X e-scooter can also be customized to suit any of the latest battery-swapping infrastructures. This battery swapping option enables users to travel long distances. In addition, users can change the scooter’s depleted battery for a completely charged one at any charging station across India. The EV maker has unveiled two models with battery swapping features, the Infinity E1X and E1+, offering speeds of up to 65 kmph and 55 kmph, respectively.

The company said in a press release that by purchasing battery-swappable electric vehicles, users can achieve around 40 percent savings in comparison to traditional ICE engines.

Moreover, the EV maker is planning to forge new partnerships with major Indian companies that provide services like food delivery, last-mile delivery, and quick commerce. Recently, Bounce Infinity formed a partnership with Sun Mobility to launch more than 30,000 electric vehicles in major Indian markets, including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Pune.

Bounce Infinity recently announced a price cut of 21 percent on the E1+ electric scooter range. The Infinity E1+ is now available at a reduced price of INR 89,999 (ex-showroom). Earlier, the E1+ was priced at INR 1.13 lakh (ex-showroom). The e-scooter comes equipped with removable batteries that can be fully charged via a 15-amp wall socket.

Emphasizing India’s potential in the rapidly growing automotive market, the CEO and co-founder of Bounce Infinity, Vivekananda Hallekare, said, "India is the world’s second-largest two-wheeler market, yet the true benefits of EVs haven’t been leveraged fully. EVs offer the opportunity for significant innovation, including making vehicles very affordable by separating the battery cost from the vehicle."
