BS6 Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise was launched in April 2020 at an introductory price of Rs 1,16,672 (ex-showroom), Delhi. Currently, it is the only 220cc cruiser bike in Bajaj's product line-up. Last month, Bajaj Auto Limited hiked the price of this motorcycle by Rs 2,502. This is the second time that the Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise has got a price increase of Rs 1,000. Therefore the new price of the BS6 Avenger 220 Cruise is Rs 1,20,173 (ex-showroom), Delhi. The two-wheeler is equipped with a BS6 compliant engine as India moved from BS4 to cleaner BS6 emission norms. It is Rs 11,584 more expensive than the outgoing BS4 model. Despite the price hike, the new BS6 Avenger 220 Cruise does not offer many updates apart from a new engine. The cuiser motorcycle is sold in 2 colour namely Auburn Black and Moon White.
Talking about the powertrain, it is powered by a BS6 single cylinder, Oil cooled, SOHC, 2 valve engine. The engine delivers a maximum power output of 18.76 bhp with 17.55 Nm of peak torque. We can expect better performance and fuel efficiency due to the Twin Spark DTS-i and fuel injection technology being offered in the engine. A 280 mm disc up front and 130 mm Drum at the rear handle the braking responsibilities. Telescopic with double anti-friction bush at the front and 5 steps adjustable Twin shock absorber takes care of the suspension duties. The bike is equipped with a single-channel ABS as a standard.
BS6 Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster. The instrument clusters display bike information like speed, fuel level, odometer while a secondary display is avaialble on the fuel tank. The Avenger Cruise like other cruisers motorcycles comes with a windscreen to keep the wide air blast away from the rider. It also comes with a wide rider seat and a comfortable cushioned pillion backrest for long rides.
Enhancing the premium look of the Avenger 220 Cruise, the Indian motorcycle maker adds chrome inserts like the exhaust and rearview mirrors. The Avenger 220 Cruise BS6 comes with LED DRLs and a new design halogen headlight.
