Bookings for the first lot of 200 cars open now.

The company will launch its baby SUV on July 4 in India. Bookings are now open for an amount of Rs 5 lakh and the first lot will be 200 cars.

The car is available in a single, fully-loaded R-Design variant. It is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel (D4) engine that puts out 190hp and 400Nm and is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, with all-wheel drive as standard. The car gets kit like wireless mobile phone charging, a 750-watt 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, 19-inch wheels, powered tailgate and heated front and rear seats. This trim comes with dual-tone interior colours and Volvo's 9.0-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

This car also comes with a full suite of radar-based safety tech, which includes lane-keeping assist, blind spot warning, adaptive cruise control, pilot assist, emergency braking, ESP, traction control, hill descent control and multiple airbags.

You can expect the car to be priced between Rs 43-45 lakh (ex-showroom).
