Classic Legends launched the BS6 version of Jawa and Jawa Forty-Two in March this year. The Jawa is priced at Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Jawa Forty-Two is available for Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom). Both the motorcycles come equipped with a host of enhancements to further better the riding experience. They are available at all Jawa dealerships across the country.

The company has made the biggest change on the mechanical front. Both Jawa and Jawa Forty-Two continue to draw power from the 293cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine. But there has been a new update which is, the engine features India’s first cross port technology. With this, the engine becomes the world’s first single-cylinder unit that uses the cross port configuration. Now, this technology basically increases the volumetric efficiency of the powertrain. It improves the power and torque output by providing a better flow of charge and exhaust gases to the engine.

Furthermore, with the help of this technology, both the motorcycles are able to meet the strict BS6 Emission Norms while retaining similar power and torque figures. Apart from this, Jawa’s newly positioned lambda sensor monitors both the internal and external variables and aims to give consistent performance and cleaner emission regardless of any road conditions.

Plus the seats has been redesigned and made in such a way that it provides utter comfort to the rider while on long rides. In terms of cosmetic updates, the motorcycles get chrome plating that has been rigorously tested two and a half times more than the industry standard. As for the brakes, then both the Jawa models come equipped with single and dual-channel ABS by Continental.

These motorcycles are also available with a range of easy financing options thus making it easier for the customers to pay through EMIs over a period of two-three years.
