The BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 300 gets new color options along with mechanical updates

Kawasaki India has finally launched the much-anticipated BS6 version of Ninja 300 at Rs 3.18 Lakhs (ex-showroom) in the country. This BS6 version is around Rs 20000 more expensive than its BS4 counterpart which was retailed at Rs 2.98 lakhs (ex-showroom). Along with mechanical updates, the bike also features updated graphics and new color options.

The BS6 Ninja 300 will be sold in Lime Green, Candy Lime Green, and Ebony colour options. Cosmetically, the new Ninja 300 has not received any changes. Most of the features have been carried forward from its BS4 counterpart. Upfront, it continues to feature a conventional bulb-type headlamp and blinkers on the fairing. In addition, the bike flaunts a sculpted fuel tank, split-style seat, unswept exhaust, an LED tail-lamp, and chrome heat shield on the muffler.

Mechanically, the 2021 Ninja 300 draws power from a BS6-compliant 296cc, parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine. The motor churns out a maximum power of 36 bhp at 11000 rpm and a peak torque of 26.1 Nm at 10,000 rpm. Furthermore, it is mated to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper clutch. The bike sits on a tubular steel frame. Suspension duties are taken care of by a conventional telescopic fork upfront and a preload adjustable mono-shock setup at the rear. Talking about the brakes, the bike gets a 290mm single disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. It will rival the likes of TVS Apache RR310 and KTM RC 390.
